Teaser Tuesday.

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!
I haven't done Teaser Tuesdays in so long, so to make up for it, I have five teaser's for today. :) Woohoo!
#1 is from The Sound of Butterflies, by Rachael King, page 203:
"Yes, yes, Mr Edgar, all very admirable, I'm sure, but I'm afraid you have not
convinced me." Santos dropped back to continue the conversation with George, and
Thomas, finding his heart pumping faster and his face flushing, pushed on ahead,
defeated.
#2 is from The Foreigner, by Francie Lin, page 187:
It was a good story; I could almost believe it, except I knew that Little P was
capable of telling the worst story with the unembarrassed calm of truth. No
consequences
, he had said, if you're not afraid to lose.
#3 is from Three Novels of Ancient Egypt, by Naguib Mahfouz, page 151:
Anxiously the woman pleaded, "I beg you, sir, please send me to my hometown at
once. The gods may grant that I will find my family."
#4 is from Pack Up the Moon, by Anna McPartlin, page 155:
It reminded me of the inheritance party and I thought of John for maybe the
first time that month. The guilt made me feel a little weary.
#5 is from The Angel, by Carla Neggers, page 227:

Keira realized how blunt her words sounded. She didn't know if she should have
told him even that much.
