Teaser Tuesday.

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!

I have four today :)

The first is from Chez Moi, by Agnes Desarthe, (page 143):

I help her put her coat on and see her to the door of Chez Moi. For a moment
I stay rooted to the spot behind the window watching her cross the street.

The second is from The Red Scarf, by Kate Furnivall, (page 262):

Her eyebrows were drawn together above what was clearly a glass eye, but her other brown eye was bright and intensely curious.
"Who are you, girl?" she demanded, holding out a hand in a fingerless glove for identification papers.

The third is from How the Dead Dream, by Lydia Millet, (page 108):

The desert had hard days but soft nights, he was learning. Nighttime was
when it came into it's own.

The fourth is from The Labrador Pact, by Matt Haig, (page 189):

'Confused? Con-fused? Believe me there was nothing confused about her
behavior this evening.'

Great teasers. I read Chez Moi last year. The Red Scarf sounds interesting.
